Refund & Returns Policy

At SmartHVACDirect.com, we strive to provide high-quality products delivered in excellent condition. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may be eligible to return unused merchandise in accordance with the guidelines below.

Return Window

We offer a 60-day return policy: you have 60 days after receiving your item to request a return.

Additionally, unused products purchased from SmartHVACDirect.com may be eligible for return within 60 days of the shipment date (see details under Returns for Unused Products).

How to Start a Return

Contact us at support@smarthvacdirect.com to request a return.

If approved, you will receive:

  1. A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number (required for all returns).

  2. A return shipping label (for certain cases).

  3. Instructions on how and where to send your package.

Important: Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return/refund, all of the following conditions must be met:

  1. Item must be unused, uninstalled, unworn, and in the same condition as received.

  2. All tags, manuals, accessories, and original manufacturer packaging must be included and unopened.

  3. Products must be free from damage, scratches, or defects.

  4. Original packaging must not have writing, tape, or labels on it.

  5. All promotional or free items must be included.

  6. Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Shipping Requirements
  1. Packages must be returned using a traceable carrier (FedEx or UPS) — USPS is not accepted.

  2. Freight-shipped items must be returned using a freight carrier (contact us for details).

  3. Customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping, unless the return is due to an error on our part (wrong or defective item).

Damages & Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us immediately so we can evaluate and resolve the issue. In the case of our error, we will cover all return shipping costs and send a replacement at no additional charge.

Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including but not limited to:

  1. Scratch and Dent, Clearance, Overstock, or Built-to-Order items

  2. Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

  3. Custom or personalized products

  4. Sale items and gift cards

Exchanges

The fastest way to get the product you want is to return your item (following the process above) and place a new order once the return is accepted.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or denial.

If approved, a refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Please allow additional time for your bank or credit card provider to post the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since approval and you have not received your refund, contact us at support@smarthvacdirect.com.

Shipping Fees

A restocking fee may apply to all returns unless the item is defective.

For orders with Free Shipping, the original shipping costs incurred by SmartHVACDirect.com will be deducted from the refund.

For orders without free shipping, original shipping charges are non-refundable.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments; please retain your tracking number.
